[Video] TV Commercial Provides Graceful Glimpse of Saigon's Outer Districts

This stunning commercial for Coca-Cola’s energy drink Samurai is a love letter to Saigon’s strange mix of urban chaos and beauty.

The brainchild of Jarkarta-based director Martin R. Wilk, the video features beautifully rendered sequences of a group of Saigoneers doing tricky acrobatics with their bikes.

As the group cruises around Saigon to a dreamlike soundtrack, many of the city’s lesser known sights, from remnants of an old aircraft to gritty train stations, serve as the backdrop for their flatland maneuvers.
