Ben Thanh Market Is Getting Fancy Air Conditioned Toilets

The hot and muggy toilets at Ben Thanh Market will soon be a thing of the past as the city has ordered that air conditioners be installed to appease tourists.

In addition to the air conditioners, speakers will also be added to the facilities so that visitors can jam out to soothing tunes as they do their business, reports Thanh Nien.

About 11,000 people use the market’s toilets on a daily basis, generating VND9 million in fees, according to the District 1 Public Services Company which is in charge of providing public services at the market.

While the upgraded toilets, scheduled to be completed by October 1, are a far cry from the 5-star variety that have been popping up across the city in recent years, we’ll take anything we can get.
