Vietnamese Physicists Publish First Scholarly Article in International Journal

For the first time ever, Vietnamese physicists have published a scholarly article in a prestigious international journal.

Last month, Physical Review Letterspublished the work of authors Nguyen Quang Hung from Da Nang’s Duy Tan University, Nguyen Dinh Dang from Japanese institution RIKEN, and Le Thi Quynh Huong from Nha Trang’s Khanh Hoa University, reports VietnamNet. The publication is one of the many journals published by the American Physical Society, the world’s second-largest organization of physicists.

The work, titled “Simultaneous microscopic description of nuclear level densities and radiative strength functions”, was the result of a decade of research on the part of Hung, in addition to the substantial efforts of Dang and Huong.

We’re not even going to attempt to break down the article’s abstract, but its publication represents a noteworthy achievement for Vietnamese physicists on the world stage.
