Visual History of Vietnamese Fashion

Traditional Vietnamese Dress.

Ao dais are awesome, we know this. But outside of this relatively recent style, it’s rare to find images and information about the preceding thousand years or so of Vietnamese fashion. Thanks to a tip from one of our readers, we’ve found a visual fashion history over at Reds.vn, run by Nancy Duong.

Her pictures have been reproduced based on historical reference materials such as paintings, ancient statues and pictures. Nancy has tried to recreate these historical fashions as accurately as possible but, due to a lack of records, they cannot be considered completely accurate. Either way, she did an amazing job.

Be sure to head over to Reds.vn to see the complete history and more.
