WỪU: A veteran Grind band known for satirical lyrics that directly call out the bad habits and flaws of modern society through 3 released buffet feasts: 888, Hoang Tưởng and Sét Đánh Vô Đầu. This time, the band will appear with a solid 4-member lineup!
THÁNH DỰC: Loyal to death metal - diligent and consistently present at key extreme shows over the years with anthems about the most battle-hardened army in the Nation's History. A past of flesh, blood and sacrifice without regret through the EP Pháo Đài Bay.
DELETION: Captivating melodies mixed with raw riffs over rough, heavily thrash metal-influenced drums and the powerful vocals of Melodic Death. Following the recently released debut album Hư Vô, at this show the band will perform new compositions from their next album - Mê Cung.
MUNDANE: Ruthless old-school death riffs blending Deicide and Six Feet Under, set against a thick, horrifying atmosphere of brutal lyrics about the terror of cold-blooded killers. A touch of the gentleness of Buddhist karma woven throughout gives listeners something to reflect on after 2 albums Hồi Đầu Thị Ngạn and Nại Hà.

PREMIERE OF OPERA MASTERPIECE "MADAMA BUTTERFLY" IN HCMC – CONCERT VERÉION

To mark the 33rd anniversary of its establishment and development, the HCMC Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in HCMC, proudly presents the opera masterpiece Madama Butterfly by composer Giacomo Puccini. The performance promises to deliver a world-class artistic space where the heritage of Italian opera meets the creative excellence of HBSO artists and distinguished international guests.

Madama Butterfly tells the tragic love story of Cio-Cio San, a young Japanese girl who devotes her heart and unwavering faith to the American naval officer Pinkerton. Through timeless lyrical melodies, most notably the iconic aria "Un bel dì, vedremo", Puccini delicately explores profound emotions surrounding love, sacrifice, honor, and human dignity.

Staged as a Concert Version in 2 Acts (3 Parts), the performance focuses intensely on vocal power and original dramatic structure. The production brings together an extraordinary creative team under the Artistic Direction of Dr. Conductor Le Ha My, Music Director & Conductor Roberto Fiore from Italy, Chorus Master Tran Nhat Minh, along with exquisite costume design by Nova Sinfonietta Shanghai.

A major artistic highlight of the production is the presence of two acclaimed Italian artists — Conductor Roberto Fiore and Tenor Marco Miglietta (in the role of Pinkerton, who trained under opera legends Raina Kabaivanska and Renata Scotto). Máy Làm Đau is a new multimedia performance work by Hà Thúy Hằng, developed and presented as part of Ồ ẠT Oh Art Festival 2026. The work combines video, sound, objects, and audience participation, emerging from the artist’s reflections on the erosion of trust and the mechanisms through which people can hurt one another. Máy Làm Đau remains a work that can continue to be developed into performance and installation versions across different contexts and spaces. A work by choreographer Neo Nguyễn, developed from the intersection between Kinh folk dance and Vovinam martial arts - two traditions that may seem contrasting, but when placed side by side, create a completely original language of movement. The harmonious combination of Cương and Nhu, strength and fluidity, contrast without cancelling each other out, together creates an aesthetic of balance, where tradition is continued through a contemporary form of expression.

KÔNG II - THE FLOW
Long Hoa Hội · Contemporary Folk Music

A musical space where traditional instruments enter into dialogue with electronic music, featuring 8 artists. In the spirit of Kông · Kông · Kông, Long Hoa Hội presents newly written works - where câu hò and điệu lý are placed on a contemporary musical foundation not to be "renewed," but to resonate more clearly, further, and more vividly than ever.

KÔNG III - THE REMAINING ALLUVION

The third Kông is not a rehearsed performance. It is what remains after movement comes to a stop, sound settles, and the stage closes - emotions, memories, and experiences that each audience member carries with them in their own way.

Not the colonial-postcard tour.

Tom Bosschaert (registered architect), takes us on a tour with one thread: what a city chooses to keep, and what it lets fall. Tom gives an outsider-in perspective on four design languages, colonial, mid-century modernist, Art Deco, and contemporary. We read Ho Chi Minh City as a live case study in adaptive reuse and heritage under pressure.

The spine is Vietnamese Modernism (roughly 1940 to 1975), a homegrown movement in which locally trained architects bent global modernism to the tropics. It was sustainable design before the word existed, and much of it is being demolished for glass towers as we speak. The route starts in the center of District 1 and extends towards District 7 at the end, with drinks on the river side.

Chợ Lớn, a city that developed alongside Saigon, has been home to generations of Chinese communities for over 300 years.

Cholon by Side is a 6-hour field study course exploring the outskirts of old Chợ Lớn. Through decades of urbanization, this area has become part of today's city: District 11. Once a landscape of rice fields and low-lying wetlands, it has transformed into an urban neighborhood where a large Chinese community continues to preserve its religious beliefs, daily life, and culinary traditions.

Time: 8:00AM - 1:30PM, Sunday, 23.08.2026
Location: Minh Phụng Ward, HCMC.

Conversation Series - Folk Songs of the Homeland - Remembering Those Who Once Lived Here

SESSION 1: ROMANTIC LOVE AND MARITAL DEVOTION – STORIES OF LOVE, DESTINY, AND MARRIAGE

How does a meeting begin and become destiny? From the first glance, words of courtship, and vows of commitment to the years spent journeying through life together, stories of love and marital devotion from generations past remain preserved in Vietnamese folk songs, waiting for people today to rediscover them. Each verse is a message left behind, allowing us to hear how our ancestors loved, longed for, and cherished enduring bonds. In traditional thought, love was not only about emotion, but also about manners, speech, the way affection was expressed within the family through propriety, and the profound values passed down by previous generations through stories of love, destiny, and devotion.

This edition of the Conversation Series - Folk Songs of the Homeland invites participants to follow that journey through four stages: "The First Stirrings of Affection," from the earliest emotions; "Promises and Vows," with pledges and love tokens; "The Red Thread of Marriage," exploring wedding customs and ceremonies; and "Marital Devotion Through the Years," when love grows into lasting companionship.

Through folk songs and proverbs passed down from one generation to the next, the program hopes to reopen a world of emotions from traditional Vietnamese life, from first encounters and falling in love to marriage and the lifelong commitment of preserving devotion and righteousness.
