Enjoy a Luxurious Sunday Lunch with Family and Friends

Restaurant Nineteen is located in the ground floor of the Caravelle hotel in District 1, an ideal place for people and families to get together and enjoy a “lazy” Sunday with top quality food and great service - without having to break the bank to do so.

The Sunday buffet costs a mere 512.000 VND++ per person, and you can add 160.000 VND++ for free flow of wine. And, since it’s in the Caravelle, you know you will have some of the best food and service in town.

Although the restaurant specialises in international food, the Sunday buffet lunch also offers many Vietnamese specialities, as well as fine food from other Asian countries, highlighted by the fresh sushi and sashimi.

The atmosphere is cool and relaxing: ample space, jazz and chill out music softly playing in the background and professional attentive service, full of natural smiles and kindness, something which the Caravelle is famous for!

Regardless of what you usually like to eat, it is unlikely that you will not find it in the Caravelle Sunday lunch buffet.

The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh. You also have a good selection of imported deli meats like chorizo and salami, not to mention the over twelve different homemade sauces to add that extra touch to your dishes, or the exquisite smoked salmon.

An extensive choice of salads and raw ingredients to make your own, with many types of imported and local salad leaves including rockets, complement the selection of starters.

As for the main course, you will be spoilt by the many options available: pork, lamb, fish, seafood, vegetables, etc. The grilled swordfish with lobster and paprika sauce was absolutely fantastic, with the paprika giving it an exotic touch, so tasty and delicious that I could not stop myself from going back for more.

The scallops with poached salmon and baked with cheese were sensational, great taste and presentation – a beautiful mix and great combination of flavours and textures.

A varied grill station serves up, among other things, grilled barracuda fish and a lovely roast turkey, offered with four different mustards and all the trimmings, tasty and tender.

If you manage to leave room for dessert, which I strongly recommend you do, you will face an array of foreign cheeses as well as a huge choice of fruit and homemade desserts. I was astonished by the intensity and purity of the chocolate based desserts, and the different cheese cakes are elegant and mouth-watering, what a treat!

Open from 11.30 to 14.30 and with capacity for up to 150 people, if you are looking for a Sunday lunch, relaxing, with no rush or hurry, think of the Caravelle!
