Chulala Music Night @ Chula

This month: World Music!

Over more than a year we have had music nights dedicated to sounds coming from large regions and small hubs like West Africa and Brooklyn, from rivers, seas and mountain ranges like the Nile, the Caribbean and the Andes, and also from ethnic and linguistic groups like gypsies, or Portuguese or Arab speakers. This will be the final music session of the season, we will listen to music coming from all of these sources in a journey around the world. We will listen mainly to the tracks that someone at some point came to me to say they enjoyed or wanted to know more about. Some old favorites and recent discoveries will be in the mix as well.
Grooves will come in many flavours: Afrobeat, Balkan, Desert Blues, Flamenco, Ethiojazz, Funk, Beguine, Electrochaabi, Batida, Cumbia, High-Life, Salsa, Hip-Hop, Zouk, Tango, Morna, Rai, Fado, Marrabenta, Pop, Rumba, Chicha, Boogaloo… It will be a trip.

Pallea & Drinks available for purchase.

Don’t miss it as we say farewell to Nacho !
