From the organizer: L’Usine and Galerie Quynh are thrilled to present a selection of paintings and photo-based work by artists Christine Nguyen and Truc-Anh in the exhibition ‘of labyrinths and luminance’.

Galarie Quynh establishes itself as a driving force behind the organic development of Vietnamese contemporary arts and its further expansion and burgeoning into the international art realm. At L’Usine, Galarie Quynh’s the exhibition entitled ‘of labyrinths and luminance’ promises to lead the audience examining the true nature and limits of our fluid conception of what we see as reality. Intertwining and drawing from the reflections and representations of reality found around us, Los Angeles-based Christine Nguyen’s technique of combining pencil and lens looks to discover the very boundaries of how we view the world through geometric perception and distorted realism. Paris-born Truc Anh’s work steps into the darkness of these boundaries and invites the audience to mediate in its vast expansiveness through his paintings of carefully applied pigments.
