From the organizer: After memories of murder, another case of serial killing, this time in Paris.

In 1991, young inspector Franck Magne, nicknamed « Charlie » as he steps in his office, joins the judiciary police with renown Crime Squad of the « 36 quai des Orfevres ». His first mission is the murder of a young woman. He quickly links the case to previous murder affairs. However, faced with many obstacles, lacking means, bureaucracy, his investigation lasts over the years, pushing him close to madness, while more young women are victim of the « Serial Killer of Paris East ». 

Don’t expect chases and gunfights; Frédéric Tellier’s film is rather focused on the meticulous and gruelling investigation carried on by Charlie, and depicts with much realism the conundrum of France’s most covered serial killing affair.
