Foo Fighters is an American Rock band, formed in Seattle, Washington in 1994. It was founded by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana after the death of Kurt Cobain. The group got its name from the UFOs and various aerial phenomena that were reported by  in World War II, which were known collectively as "Foo Fighters".

Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. Green Day has sold more than 85 million records worldwide. 

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2015, their first year of eligibility
