Join us for 'Variations on Joy', an exhibition by Howard Qiu featuring a vibrant collection of artworks that explore the intersection of music, emotions and nature.
Born in Shanghai in the 1960’s, from a young age Qiu was inspired by architectural aesthetics and artists including Kandinsky and Paul Klee. He went on to study a wide range of mediums including watercolour, oil painting and sculpture in the United States.
In recent years his interests have shifted to focus on expressing rhythm, melody, harmony and tone through texture, colour, line and shape. 'Variations on Joy' explores the sensory commonalities between visual art and sound creation, presenting an ode to joy.
