The White Silk Dress tells about the life of Gu's family, who was a Northerner, after 1954 with his wife Dan, moved to the South to live. Gu and Dan have four children: An, Ngo, Lut and Giau. The family of six lived a poor life, in a small cottage, under the bombs of war.
