Salon Saigon is pleased to present a live experimental performance combining sound and new media art by Saigon-based sound artists Zach Sch and Jung Buffalo, and VJ Musashii and Jodeyiam. Using cutting edge technology including VR (Virtual Reality) and AR(Augmented Reality), the artists explore subconscious matter such as lucid dreams, psychedelic states, abstract architecture, experimental soundscapes and finally asking the question “Who are we really?”. In the performances, the audience is encouraged to participate and actually touch technology instead of being a casual observer. Music, sounds and moving images will be played improvisational together during the show and interact with the audience, challenging the boundaries in music and visual art.

VR (Virtual Reality)

Virtual means created by computer. The experience brings you a 360-degree 3D world, you could feel it with your vision and sound but, in fact, it’s not the physical world surrounding you.

AR (Augmented Reality)

Augmented means increase the value, make thing better. Thus, AR simply means add more interesting interactive on the physical artwork with a smart device that could be a phone or a pad. For example, you swipe your phone to a canvas and there is motion graphic toward the painting on the screen.
