this year, Vietnam Queer History Month and Hanoi Queer, together with Saigon Queer, desire to take a deep look into the history of all the words, the terms, the phrases, the notions, of the language used by the LGBT community, as a part of our queer culture.

By bringing you a various range of activities from exhibition and talk show, Vietnam Queer History Month 2019 is a journey into the history of language: from the practice of language, reclaiming the cultural spaces of our own to reaffirming our identity and therefore, restating our stand in society. We hope that through all of that, you get a better insight of such a community with its own rich and prideful history.
