From the organizer: Following the recent success of the first ever Saigon International Music Week, the Loud Minority vehicle is back in motion for 2015 with one of 2014’s brightest success stories, Mac DeMarco, set to hit the Cargo stage on 20th January.

While the blissful guitar pop of Viceroy first brought DeMarco to mainstream ears, the release of DeMarco’s sophomore solo effort, Salad Days earlier this year was met with widespread critical acclaim, culminating in Pitchfork’s ‘Best New Music’ accolade and a nomination for the Polaris Music Prize 2014.

Aside from DeMarco’s recorded work, his live shows have gained notoriety for often involving nudity, jokes and a lot of improvisation. He was recently arrested on stage in California after climbing the venue’s ceiling beams with the help of the crowd.

So, what can Saigon expect? Well, get down to Cargo on 20th January to find out. Whatever happens, it promises to be a show like no other in Vietnam. History-in-the-making? Quite possibly.
