From the organizer: Onslaught are a British thrash metal band from Bristol formed in 1983 by guitarist and founder Nige Rockett. In 1986 they released the album, The Force, which is considered a classic of the thrash metal genre by critics and fanzines.

Nige will be bringing the band to Vietnam in April, thus being the first international thrash metal band to play in Vietnam. Onslaught are one of the most respected British metal bands currently touring, and have spent significant time on the road with giants of the metal scene such as Motorhead and Anthrax. In 2010 the band recorded a version of Motorhead’s classic song ‘Bomber’ with Motorhead guitarist, Phil Campbell, guesting.

At Saigon Ranger (5/7 Nguyen Sieu St., District 1) on Friday 15th April the band have committed to playing ‘The Force’ album in full in order to celebrate it’s 30th anniversary, and will also be playing ‘Bomber’ among others songs. This is a unique first for Vietnam, so be sure to get your ticket in advance.
