Ian Blevins (ESP Institute, Futureboogie) @ The Observatory

With over a decade of combined residencies at Ibiza clubs, countless appearances in renowned festivals and clubs around the world and a recent release on ESP Institute - Ian Blevins represents a major player and sound to watch out for - on this night supported by Obs co-founder and resident Hibiya Line.

Ian Blevins’ sets are fine-tuned progressions through the possibilities of dance music that bend through rare realms of melodic genius in planned-out, dance floor-powering movements that are nothing short of genius.

His productions shine with a unique radiance and clear determination in remaining free of restrictive categorization, focused purely on making people dance to something they haven’t heard before.

Ian Blevins made his name as a DJ as resident at super-club Space Ibiza’s iconic ‘We Love’ for eight years (2007-2015), as well as his four-year ‘Future Disco’ residency at Carl Cox’s The Revolution.
A regular fixture in UK clubs including Back To Basics, Ministry Of Sound, Shindig, Butter Side Up and Just Jack, his other gigs including Croatia’s Garden Festival, Australia, Singapore, Green Valley in Brazil, and Dubai and he is now receiving global interest, thanks in no small part to his recent release “Hannibal” on ESP Institute.

To date he has released on a number of labels worldwide, from Droog’s Culprit imprint to Bristol-based Futureboogie, Colour Series, Constant State, Keep It Zen Records, Disco Bloodbath, vinyl-only Blind Jacks Journey, Magic Wand, Rothmans and Audio Parallax and these releases, along with a steady number of aliases under his belt (also producing under the title ‘Second Line’ with Jem Haynes, NY*AK and as half ‘Al Gobi’), have also led to a bountiful future impending release schedule including label such as Vitalic, Technicolour, cult vinyl-only label Saft, and Man Power’s LBL imprint, Lyase, with a highly anticipated follow up single to Hannibal already signed up to ESP Institute.
