From the organizer: On the 30th of October, Saigon Outcast will be transformed into a busking alley full of creative people doing creative things, all for a very good cause. We will have a range of performers playing music, reading poetry, creating art, etc. As well as a live auction of creative goods and services, from "I will cook you a meal for VND500,000" to "I will draw your portrait for VND1m".
Come and enjoy some Saigon talent, and support flood victims in central Vietnam! Here's a bit more about how it will work.
DONATIONS
All donations will be given to Red Cross Ho Chi Minh City, to be used in the aid of the many Vietnamese people who have been hit hard by flooding inthe central part of this beautiful country. You can donate in a number of ways!
1. Your door fees will all go directly into the event's fundraising box ♥
2. You can support the buskers as they work by donating
3. Take part in the auction and bid on your favourite item
4. Purchase drinks at the Outcast bar, and we will donate 20% of our entire bar revenue to the Red Cross' work with the floods
GET INVOLVED
We want you! If you're talented at some kind of creative performance, have a skill to auction, something beautiful or useful to sell, have ideas for how we can make the event even better or a knack for organising and running things, then we would love to hear from you. Here's a breakdown of what we need:
1. Buskers: if you would like to play an acoustic set at the event, please get in touch!
2. Auction: do you have a skill to share? If you can think of something funny, useful, interesting or any of the above that someone might want to buy from you, then get in touch. We're thinking anything from a really lovely pair of shoes to a landscape gardener selling 1hr of their time.
3. Coordination: if you just want to get involved in the ticketing, event running, serving and other general helpfulness, then we would LOVE to have you. Join the Outcast team on the floor.
