Police announced on Tuesday that they are investigating the incident that took place on February 27 and that 30-year-old Tran Thi Trang hasn’t been taken into custody because she is pregnant, reports Thanh Nien.

The model-turned-actress was detained after “insulting and attacking traffic police officers who had flagged down a taxi she was in for driving the wrong way down a one-way street,” according to the paper.

While at the police station for questioning, she began to insult and curse at officers. Her tirade was captured on a mobile phone and the clip quickly went viral on Vietnamese news websites and social media.

Trang was released five days later after apologizing in writing, stating that she had insulted and slapped officers because “she had been so drunk that she could not control herself.”

The outspoken actress, who once claimed that many models she knew worked as prostitutes to afford their lavish lifestyles, faces six months and seven years in jail for her offenses.
