Who wants to travel to Italy this Summer?… Through imagination!

This month our (in)ITALY Art Book Showcase will take you to Bologna through more than 20 independent publications. At the showcase you will catch a breath of the young and listen through their pages to a creative voice that’s yearning to be heard.

Near Bologna stands Florence, the centre of medieval architecture and Renaissance art. Florence attracts more than 16 million tourists every year, most to see Michelangelo’s iconic sculpture ‘David’. You could say that Bologna provides a young “escape" from the whirlwind of Florence’s tourism. Home to the oldest University in the world, Bologna hosts thousands of students who enrich the social and cultural life of the city. Declared the European capital of culture in the year 2000, Bologna continues to grow as a thriving metropolis where the contemporary arts are able to flourish.
