From the organizer: Join our Chateau Siran Wine Dinner at Reflections Restaurant on Friday, 10th November 2017
A few miles North of Bordeaux, on the bucolic Médoc peninsula, lie 36 hectares of sublime grape-growing terroir owned by Chateau Siran. Celebrated wines have been produced from the fine soil here since the 17th century. The current estate has belonged to the Miailhe family for over 150 years. From this long history comes a collection of exceptional wines.
Known for their richness and delicacy, the distinct reds from Chateau Siran are created from blends of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. Chateau Siran owner and 7th generation member of the Miailhe family, Mr. Edouard Miailhe himself, will be present throughout the evening to shed light on his family’s long wine-making tradition.
At Reflections, our chefs have designed a menu of unique fusion dishes to complement four of the vineyard’s award-winning wines. The five-course dinner opens with three beautiful canapes, segues into two exquisite seafood entrees and a main course starring New Zealand Roe deer tenderloin, and finishes with a fine international cheese and dessert course, alongside the classic Chateau Siran 2011. Wine lovers will also sample the “S de Siran” -- from the vineyard’s younger plots -- and the complex “Saint Jacques de Siran.”
