The Tran dynasty (12th-14th century) was one of the most powerful dynasties throughout Vietnam’s illustrious history.

However, by the late 13th century, their empire had descended into chaos. Emperors had neglected their stoic values and administrative duties in favour of lavish and frivolous spending. Feeling depressed, many mandarins of the Tran dynasty resigned and wandered.

The legend Tu Thuc - Giang Huong emerged around this time and their story symbolized the beautiful dreams of many mandarins of the Tran dynasty and yearnings for bygone times. Adapting this classic tale, composer Tran Nguyen Thien Huong has inspired audiences with a timeless, heartfelt and sometimes painful love story. Sun Flower Media is proud to announce that this mesmerising musical is the first ever Broadway style show to be introduced to Vietnam.

THE HISTORICAL OPERA HOUSE

The Historical Opera House of Ho Chi Minh city was built in 1898 by French architect Eugene Ferret in the style of the colonial times. He created a grandiose design at two meters higher than street level and also incorporated two layers of doors to prevent any noise from the traffic. His concept exhibits beautiful hand sculpted statues, crystal chandeliers, and a gleaming marble floor all created with original materials imported directly from France. The stunning oval auditorium with almost 500 seats offers clear views from each and every seat.
