When this infamous documentary about the Los Angeles punk scene was released in 1981 the city police chief publicly demanded it not be shown again in that area. 

Ranked fifth on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 40 greatest rockumentaries, the film shows punk giants such as Black Flag and Circle Jerks in their early days.

It features great concert footage and interviews with band members and fans, and the publishers of the Slash fanzine.

In 2016 the film was selected by the Library of Congress for inclusion in the US National Film Registry as “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant.”
