Vietnam: 25 Years Documenting A Changing Country @ U.S. Consulate General

Please join us as National Geographic photographer Catherine Karnow shows the images she has captured and talks about the changes she has witnessed in Vietnam from 1990 to the present day.

A celebrated photographer in Vietnam, Catherine's images and stories go under the surface to reveal surprising truths. Images chronicle the dark years in the early 1990's to Vietnam's opening to the world in the mid-nineties, to modern-day Vietnam and the frenetic fast-forward pace toward the future. Catherine will also show photos from her close relationship with the late General Giap and his family, as well as both famous and ordinary people. Come see stunning images and hear fascinating stories.

Interpretation will be provided.
