Once again Afro Funk is back to get you grooving on down and your bootys shaking!

Afro Funk at Arcan is a dedicated night to the connected cultures and sub-cultures of West African and Caribbean music mixed with Western Funk, Soul and Disco!

Let us take you on a journey through the ages of Afro influenced music!

From 10pm our DJ Fatconnections will take you on a journey through the 60s, 70s and 80s Funk, Soul, Disco and Early Hip Hop movements of the western world with classics from Ray Charles, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfeild, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bill Withers, Sugar Hill Gang, The Commodores, Earth, Wind and Fire and Womack & Womack to name a few!

From midnight Kaztet D (Banana Hustle/Saigon Dub Station/Wat A Gwan) will take the decks with his ever growing mix of Afrobeats, Tropical, Disco, Funk and Carribean flavours! Followed by Yushka (WHAT? Events/Funk Sessions) spinning Funky Breaks and Beats into the early hours of the morning!

We will also have live Live Percussion, Saxophone and Trumpet players supporting the DJs and adding an extra element and dynamic to the night!
