The party for ANY and ALL artists

On Saturday November 2 2019, A. Farm once again invites ANY and ALL artists working in Saigon to join the second edition of All Animals Are Equal. In the spirit of A. Farm, we welcome artists of any discipline to show alongside each other, whether professional or non-professional, young or old, emerging or established.

This is an open call for any artist to join All Animals Are Equal #2. Visual artists are invited to bring 1-3 artworks, and to install them anywhere in the A. Farm communal residency space. Possible locations where artists may install their work include the communal studios, kitchen and bathrooms, stage and courtyard.

Season 2 artists Kanich Khajohnsri, Levi Masuli, Nguyen Le Phuong Linh, Tina Thu and Matteo Biella will take over the gallery to showcase their residency projects while the rest of the facility and studios will be open for absolute artistic takeover. 289e bar will provide carefully curated cocktails and fabulous vibes in the kitchen while charitable organisation Maison Chance will take care of food in the courtyard. And for those of you not up for driving we even have you covered with 2 private buses departing from D1 so come celebrate!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
If you wish to join the show please come to install your work at A. Farm (96/1 Tân Thới Nhất 6, Ward Tân Thới Nhất, District 12, HCMC) from between the hours of 11:00am-8:00pm on the 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 of October, 2019. We have some basic tools available, such as a hammer, a drill, and a ladder, but artists are responsible for their own installation materials (eg. extension cables, screws, cleats, etc.; whatever materials you need you must bring yourself). Display spaces will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

WORK INFORMATION:
Participants are requested to email their artist name, work titles, and prices (if you wish to sell) to a.farm.saigon@gmail.com. Forty percent of the proceeds from any work sold from this show will go to the sustainability of A. Farm. Please price your work accordingly.

OPENING & HOURS:
The opening party will be held on the 2nd of November from 4:00pm-10:00pm. The space will be open from 2:00pm to 6:00pm from 3 of November through 6 of November, 2019.

DE-INSTALLATION:
Artists are requested to deinstall their work on the 8, 9 10 of November between the hours of 2:00pm-8:00pm.

THE SPACE:
Established in 2018, A. Farm is an international art residency formed from a collaboration between the Nguyen Art Foundation, and independent art spaces Sàn Art and MoT+++. It is located in District 12 of Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Vietnam, and consists of a gallery room, six semi-communal studios, seven bedrooms, shared living facilities and a large courtyard. Previously a factory, its history of scent and flavour production is reimagined in a cross-pollination of art and ideas between local and international artists.
