Originally planned from 13 April 2020, our 2 year anniversary had to be postponed, several times. Because we wanted to keep contact with our community here in Saigon and around the world, we decided to organise a radio show during lockdown and showcase our music, 8 DJs, 8 different visions of techno music.

But things are different now. The lockdown is lifted and everyone deserve a good music event, with plenty of food your the soul and body. However, life is not all perfect now. With re-opening comes all the bills that had been pilling up for several months. Suppliers have been struggling, they need FnB venues to start business again. Landlords have been conciliant but they also need their money to start coming in again.

In this situation, many businesses around the world will actually decide not to re-open. This is the sad reality that we are just starting to see unfold here in Vietnam and in other countries as well. Let's be clear, no small business can hold more than 2 or 3 months without revenue nor can they make up for such losses in the weeks coming right up after re-opening.

Which is why without the help and care of our partners, we would have had to declare bankruptcy.

So this 2 year anniversary gathering is dedicated to them. First we really want to thank our landlord Mss Thuy for being so nice and caring. Then our suppliers Tê Tê Craft Beer, Heineken and our lovely street seller.

One very special attention for Chi Hieu Huynh, our bar manager. Thanks for always considering Arcan as your own business and family, which was always more important to you than the money. And the rest of the team Dang Vo and Hieu Trung, you guys rock and there would not be any Arcan without you.

And of course for this event, we have gathered the full Arcan DJ family at the command of the dark room. 10 DJs that have been part of structuring the scene over the last 2 years, bringing some strongly missed vibes in the techno scene. You also have been struggling during lockdown, not being able to perform and do what gives you joy as well as subsistance. This event is for you. Let's all get crazy together like the old time.

Before taking things into the dark room, we will host a rooftop podcast with HRBR during the whole afternoon. No cover charge for that event, just come and enjoy ;)

And for the Friday night (29 May), we are delighted to see the return of the Heart Beat crew ,introducing its Pink Room Records label, 2 years after the Arcan Grand Opening. It means a lot that we can work together again after all those years and everything that happened between us. Arcan also exist thanks to you guys and we will never forget that.
