Two Vietnamese 'ori Tahiti dancers, based in Saigon and Berlin, are so excited to bring you a special workshop. You will learn the basics of Tahitian dance and a beautiful 'aparima choreography. There will even be a sharing on Tahitian culture, so you wouldn't want to miss it!

Huyen discovered the art of 'Ori Tahiti since 2017 and immediately fell in love with it. Since then her passion to share the joy with friends in Berlin who have the same interest. She has taken part in Heiva i Paris and several 'Ori Tahiti flashmobs. On this occasion she will share with us an extract of the beautiful choreography of the song Te vahine Mā'ohi, created by Janice Minabe and Michelle Limon of Te Rahiti Nui (based in San Diego, California).

Lien Huong is a Tahitian dance artist, choreographer and instructor based in Saigon. She has been practicing and performing Tahitian dance since 2013 in Singapore, Hungary and Viet Nam. She has been training with Tahitian and international artists with several years of experience in the genre.

'Ori Tahiti Smile is a pioneering Tahitian dance initiative in Vietnam, founded by Lien Huong in 2019 in Saigon. This is where Huong always strives to inspire her dancers with the beauty of ‘ori Tahiti (Tahitian dance) as an art form, the joy of dancing in a supportive community, and respect for Polynesian cultures.
