“Gruesome Playground Injuries” is an incredibly successful piece of contemporary theatre. This modern love story begins at age 8 on the playground and it reveals over 30 years, the beautifully destructive nature of romance. Some people think it’s child’s play but it’s bloody, dangerous and painful this love game.

Is love just another form of self-harm? Kayleen, played by Siree Riewpaiboon, is a troubled girl from a dysfunctional family. Doug, played by Jaime Zúñiga, is her accident prone ‘Knight in Shining Armour’. Although they age and life gets in the way, will these two ever be able to be together? This play asks us, ‘Why do we hurt those we love the most?’ Will they make it out alive and in love?
