“Timmy Regisford is, simply put, one of the great legends of dance music.” - Resident Advisor. That quote lays out the basics. More than just a DJ or Producer, he is a man whose vision and moulding of the globally infamous Shelter Parties that began in New York in 1991 - and stints in the highest echelons of labels such as Atlantic and Motown Records - has gone on to shape what electronic music and its related club scene has evolved into. 

As a DJ, he is known for not only being technically adept at meshing a huge cross-section of global and eclectic influences into his individual, rhythmic sound - from African vocals to driving Latin movements - but also for his presence, performance and the highly selective programming that goes into his choice and placement of tracks. This has rightfully earned him the moniker “The Maestro”.

His house and disco-like productions burst with a dance-focused nuance that only years of experience behind the decks can provide. Funky, deep and directed are the words that come to mind, but to get a real idea of what that means, his set and sound just needs to be experienced.
