The sound system responsible for providing some of the most high-calibre music and artists to the people of Singapore is back at The Obs once again, guaranteeing a night of continuous audio magic flow that has been honed through years of playing together as a diverse and potent party unit. That being said, the individuals within this group are also autonomously powerful forces behind the booth, frequently appearing on lineups across the city alongside major international players, as well as finding themselves in control of dance floors in world-class events on the global electronic music circuit, such as Dimensions Festival in Croatia.

Mugic Soundsystem has been putting on nights in the city state to the south for over 7 years, developing a following of like-minded party-enthusiasts that head to their shows to enjoy their combination of a relaxed attitude with a dead-serious focus on quality, eclectic dance music - from rare jazz funk and afrobeat to all sorts of delicious house and ruff and tuff techno. It’s tough to make that kind of thing work over there, but their dedication and specialization as individuals within one broad party umbrella defined simply by quality and a good attitude has allowed it to happen. 

They have hosted artists such as Levon Vincent & Jus Ed, Anthony Shake Shakir, Aardvark and Kay Suzuki, and became notorious for the massive sound system they lugged around to all of the venues that were brave enough to host them. Despite their hi-profile credentials as some of the prime-purveyors of quality underground music in the city, they have kept true to their humble goal of promoting a laid-back, open and always-welcoming atmosphere and approach to their parties. Their motto is ‘Come as strangers, leave as friends”; an attitude that blends seamlessly with The Observatory’s own.
