[Video] American Shows off Impressive Vietnamese Skills in Trinh Cong Son Tribute

While most foreigners in Vietnam seem to be intimidated by the tonal nuances of Vietnamese, Kyo York, an American expat living in Vietnam for over 4 years, seems to have the language down pat.

The English Teacher/singer/actor has just released a music video, ‘Ha Trang,’ a tribute to renowned Vietnamese composer Trinh Cong Son on the 13th anniversary of his death. 

“I had been infatuated with Son’s haunting music years before I decided to become a professional singer. I’ve practiced quite hard to perform several of his iconic songs such as ‘Diem Xua’ and ‘Ha Trang,’” York told Tuoi Tre.
