In a departure from Vietnam road trips and timelapse videos, Sài Gòn...Sài Gòn...! shows the city from the perspective of a group of young locals.

It might not rival the work of JT Singh when it comes to production value, but it’s refreshing to see what Saigonese find beautiful about their city, rather than an outsider’s view.
The short film was produced by Ta Nguyen Hiep who had this to say about its inspiration:
"Sometimes lying down at home, I have this sudden urge to go out and film something.
Sometimes my friends and I get our cameras to capture some memories.
Sometimes I imagine myself standing somewhere very far from Saigon and looking towards it.
I look to it and call out its name like a friend's.
To some acceptable extent, I think I’m in love with Saigon."
