Everyone's A DJ Presents: Shimmy Shimmy Coco Pop

Everyone's A DJ presents 'Shimmy Shimmy Coco Pop' - a 50s/60s rock'n'roll/motown dance party!

From the organisers:

SHIMMY SHIMMY COCO POP is back! and this time we're brought a very special guest to join us for the night! We've got Matty Boy, the lead singer from The Standards. You might have seen him give a stellar performance at the Japandroids gig, blowing the audience away. What you may not know about Matt is that he's been leading the indie rock scene in Bangkok for over 6 years. Besides his highly successful indie pop nights, 'Popscene', he also runs a northern soul night called BACKBEAT for all the mod lads and lassies to dance the night away. So we couldn't think of anymore more appropriate to join us to play some northern soul to our mixture of rock'n'roll and motown sounds.

We've also brought back JAKE CATLETT to get you moving on the dance floor. We never know what to expect from Jake. From favourite hits from the likes of Spencer Davis Group and The Beatles through to rare motown and indonesian psychedelic rock.

And of course your hostess, SUPERKID will be playing all of your favorites from chinese beat girl groups to good old American rock'n'roll.

We'll have it all folks!

So put on that 3 button mod suit, put on that poodle skirt and let's get ready to shake and shimmy the night away!

Entrance fee: 50.000 VND For more invormation and updates, visit the Facebook event page.
