[Video] Cop Hugs Suspect’s Leg to Prevent Escape

Given the disrespect that some Vietnamese cops have experienced in the past, it makes sense that police refine their tactics, especially in the face of drunk and stubborn drivers.

One such strategy was on display in District 9 on Tuesday when a traffic cop got down on the ground and wrapped himself around a suspect’s leg.

It all started when Lieutenant Vo Van Thoai pulled over truck driver Nguyen Bao Toan for driving in the wrong lane, reports Tuoi Tre.

After a short chase, Thoai found himself short of breath and attached himself to Toan who later told police that he failed to comply since disagreed with the charge.
