46 Incredible Color Photos of 1915 Vietnam

Considering how rare turn of the 20th-century Vietnam photos are, we were especially excited to come across this Flickr album of 46 colorized photos from 1915.

The photos were taken by Leon Busy (1874-1950), a French officer serving in Indochina who was also an avid photographer.

With the funding from the millionaire French banker Albert Kahn, Busy ended up taking nearly two thousand color photographs of Indochina. Some of the collection is on display at the Albert Kahn Museum outside of Paris.

The picture above depicts a woman in the smoking room of a private residence in Hanoi.

Head over to manhhai's Flickr gallery for the rest of the beautiful photos.
