Last Friday afternoon, a Hanoi taxi driver parked his car to buy a drink at a roadside stall. A few minutes later, he found his vehicle submerged in a nearby river after the stall’s owner “borrowed” it for a joy ride.

The owner, apparently lacking sufficient driving experience, hit a motorbike and drove through a road barrier before falling into the To Lich River, reports VnExpress.
While he managed to escape the sinking car and swim back to shore, the Toyota Limo was badly damaged by the river’s murky waters.
The shop owner told police that all he wanted was to take a “cool” drive.
