Last week, the users of International travel publication, Rough Guides, were called upon to vote on the world’s most beautiful counties. After tallying thousands of votes, Vietnam found itself in the top 20 (at #20 to be exact).
“It’s no surprise that Vietnam made the top twenty. From the impressive rock formations of Ha Long Bay to the terraced fields of mountainous Sa Pa, Vietnam has a huge wealth of easily accessible natural beauty,” wrote the site.

The voters put Scotland in the top spot, followed by Canada, New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, Indonesia, the UK, Iceland, and the US.
Other countries in the list are Slovenia, Mexico, India, Finland, Switzerland, Peru, Norway, Ireland and Croatia.
