Locally Trapped Wildlife is a HCMC-based, artist-curated, alternative music showcase.

Locally Trapped Wildlife Vol.7 is proud to feature a performance from one of Hanoi's finest bands - Sirens of Ha Long - with support by local acts OPNAIRDRGMKT and The Lotus Trio.

Sirens of Ha Long
A Hanoi-based band playing intercontinental hate-pop. Coming together after realizing they shared a mutual experience, Sirens of Ha Long created a musical project as a form of self therapy and a vehicle to create awareness about the dangers that lurk in the depths of Vietnam's famed bay. After learning to play instruments, the band will help to ensure innocent people won't fall victim to those god-damn sexy fish-women.

OPNAIRDRGMKT

Bubbling up from the frenetic inertia of Saigon, this group is the propulsive progeny of two prolific, guitar-wielding songwriters emboldened by a clockworkstrong rhythm section.

Concocting a swirling jangle of cosmic rock laced with psychedelic abstractions both enigmatic and familiar, these dudes serve the song while putting on an energetic, jangle-heavy show.

"OADM is a songwriting showcase dappled with note-bursts of musical color. A frenzied non-shape of burnt-orange energy prisms!" - Pineapple Yorke

"A spirit of frenzy was ignited in my innermost passions whilst listening to OPNAIRDRGMKT. Brash yet reserved." - Orange Neely

The Lotus Trio
Led by the effervescent and inimitable Tanya Smackdab (veteran of countless Saigon groups), The Lotus Trio is a hip- hop, neo-soul, jazz fusion trio based in HCMC. They sing songs in English and Vietnamese. Dance on, dancers!
