Phnom Penh / Paris – The Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and the Université Francophone d’Asie (UFA) are pleased to announce the launch of a bachelor’s degree in Management and Business Administration in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, starting September 2026. This programme is open to French-speaking students across Southeast Asia.

This bachelor meets the growing demand for high-quality French-language higher education programmes in the Southeast Asia region.

The newly established Université Francophone d’Asie (UFA) is backed by the Cambodian group OCIC, a recognised investor in education (École Française Internationale, Canadian International School, Cambodia University of Technology and Science), and supported by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), the world’s largest network of francophone higher education institutions, with 1,007 member establishments in 119 countries. This consortium combines academic excellence, strong local roots, and a powerful francophone institutional network to ensure the highest quality of the programme.

Compliant with the academic standards of the campus in Paris, the programme covers the complete core curriculum in management and business administration. Students will therefore receive training identical to that provided in France, validated by the Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and recognised internationally.

The three-year bachelor will be taught by a teaching team that includes professors and researchers from the Paris-Panthéon-Assas University who will teach on-site in Phnom Penh, alongside resident lecturers. Admissions are based on a direct application file. The programme is aimed at students from French or francophone secondary schools across Southeast Asia who hold a baccalaureate or equivalent qualification. To facilitate the integration of students of all backgrounds, courses will be delivered in both French and English. A foundation year may be offered to students whose French level requires strengthening prior to entry.

“We are very pleased to be part of this partnership, which offers students based in Asia an excellent French higher education. With this Bachelor’s degree, they will be able to pursue opportunities in the Asian job market or continue their studies in France at the Master’s level.”
Jean-Baptiste Welté, Full Professor of Management Sciences, Co-director of the Bachelor program in Phnom Penh.

The launch of this programme comes at a particularly favourable time: the strong growth in demand for higher education in Southeast Asia, the continued expansion of AEFE schools in the region, and the hosting of the Francophonie Summit in Cambodia in 2026. This timing gives the project a powerful symbolic dimension for the entire francophone community in the region.

“Sending our children to France too young, without adequate family or logistical support, can be challenging. This bachelor's degree delivered in Phnom Penh allows them to begin their higher education in Asia under excellent conditions, while remaining close to their families, and keeps open a wide range of Master’s opportunities.”
Amaury de Saint Blanquat, Co-founder, Université Francophone d’Asie.
