Inspired by the Human Library idea originating from Denmark, the Human Library: Saigon event series is a community project, where people are "borrowed" like books to share their stories and experiences. Surname. Instead of opening a book, you can open your heart and listen to real life stories from people with diverse cultures, experiences and perspectives.

In the Human Library, people become "living books", sharing their stories, experiences and personal opinions. Each "book" in the Human Library is an individual with a unique life experience or background, representing a part of society that is underrepresented in popular culture.

From stories about life, career, social class, to cultural, religious and gender experiences, People's Library wants to eliminate prejudice and break down barriers in thinking patterns. and create a safe space for dialogue, thereby opening opportunities for understanding, respect and connection between community members.
