Classical music has always had the power to deeply impact the emotions of listeners due to its continuous development through scientific structures. Ludwig van Beethoven's music, in particular, allows us to feel the energy of explosion.

Among his masterpieces that evoke special emotions, we can mention Symphony No. 5 "Fate," Symphony No. 9 "Ode to Joy," as well as compositions for piano such as Moonlight Sonata, Für Elise, etc.

Not solely confined to Beethoven's compositions, Sonata No. 23 Opus 57, named "Appassionata," is also a particularly significant work in the classical music treasury of humanity. Translated as "passionate," this masterpiece serves as a musical diary of Beethoven's emotions left for us. In the seventh piano recital of 'The journey of endless creativity' featuring all Beethoven's piano sonatas, Appassionata will breathe life into our major theme. Saigon Classical Group, Arietta Việt Nam along with pianist Nguyễn Đức Anh, are honored to introduce this exciting program to you.

The program will take you through three different extremes, adding fervor and determination that Appassionata will bring. Beginning with a grand sonata nicknamed "The Pastoral" (Opus 28), we will encounter a genuine, humble Beethoven, with the dominant sound being gentle, delicate melodies throughout. The next one is Sonata Opus 22 in B-flat Major, a richly substantive piece with four music movements of independent characters, harmoniously portraying a mature and refined Beethoven in terms of compositional technique. Appassionata, on the other hand, resembles a middle-aged man facing storms, major upheavals in life, along with the forms of emotions he encounters internally. The harsh beginnings and endings of the two chapters are perfectly balanced by a tranquil, fulfilling middle chapter throughout.
