Phap Lam is also known as Phap Lang, Canh Thai Lam or more easily understood as Enameled Metal Ware. Phap lam are products made of copper, silver, gold or alloy that are covered with colorful enamel and then baked to create a highly aesthetic product.

GOAL: Learn Phap lam techniques and practice creating your own Hoa Phap lam products.

INSTRUCTOR: Young Thanh Tung, who spent a lot of time researching and self-studying to restore and master the Phap lam techniques, which seemed to have been lost in Vietnam.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

Part 1: Introduction to Phap Lam Art (15 minutes)

• Briefly presents the history and origin of Phap Lam art.
• The applicability of Phap lam.
• Confusion about Phap lam and other arts.

Part 2: Practical instructions (90 minutes – depending on technique)

• Let customers choose samples or draw their own
• Provide tools and materials - Instruct guests to scan images, mix glazes, and paint glazes.
• Let customers experience heating the product themselves - Complete products for customers.

Part 3: Interacting with guests (15 minutes)

• Summary of the Workshop.
• Receive reviews and comments from customers.

Note: The activity uses high temperatures so it is not suitable for children under 12 years old.
