The play presented two works based on Nguyễn Ngọc Tư short stories is returning to the stage for the first time since 2016.
Adopted by the acclaimed director Việt Linh and performed with English subtitles, the works drew immense praise when first premiered. Their exploration of complex human emotions in the face of tragedy.
The new staging promises to have some differences with Kỳ Thảo joining as actress and Le Chi Na serving as director. The new imagining promises to present the humanity of individuals in difficult situations and the precarious nature of kindness.
