During this June, the U.S. Supreme Court will likely issue its final decision on same-sex marriage rights in the United States. Come learn about the history of LGBT civil rights cases that have argued before the Supreme Court and discuss the American federal system, states’ rights, and the American judicial system. We will talk about typical cases in this field of law and same-sex marriage recognition, such as Bowers v. Hardwick (1986), Lawrence v. Texas (2003), United States v. Windsor (2013), and Obergefell v. Hodges (2015).
