What's 'PECHA-KUCHA', you ask? PechaKucha Night (PKN) was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.
It's a simple presentation format which involves talking along to 20 automatically advancing images, each for 20 seconds.
The Pecha Kucha event has traveled to over 900 cities in the world and is now returning to Ho Chi Minh city for Volume 7 !
The idea - Absolutely anyone can present a story, an idea, a thought or even holiday snaps in the Pecha Kucha 20*20 format. PK nights are informal fun, events for creative people to find common ground and just have fun!
COOL, so WHAT STORIES CAN I EXPECT?
Don't let the word 'presentation' deter you. The presenters - The beauty of Pecha Kucha is that anyone can present!
We have 6 speakers with incredibly diverse topics ranging from art, design, travel, health, love and more! PechaKucha presentations uncover the unexpected -- unexpected talent, unexpected ideas. Some PechaKuchas tell great stories about a project or a trip. Some are incredibly personal, some are incredibly funny, but all are very different, and they turn each PechaKucha Night into “a box of chocolates.”
WOW... CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Sure! We welcome everybody as speakers or audience. We are looking at making this a monthly event and may be you'll find yourself inspired to get involved with the organization or even be a presenter at the next event!
