From the organizer: Saigon International Comedy upped the ante last month with Turner Sparks, MC Chris Wegoda and comics from the local scene belly-splitting a full house. On Wednesday, June 29th expect it to go into lift off mode, thanks to a comic living on a diet of rocket fuel, Will Mars. You want explosive? This guy’s nuclear.

A British Comedian living in New York, Will’s first solo Asia tour Schtick Shift will take in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Indonesia and of course Vietnam. And expect it to be a good ‘un. This guy’s got some serious accolades stitched onto his t-shirt: Finalist in the English Comedian of the year Award 2014; Top 50 Best Ever Jokes at the Edinburgh Fringe (The Scotsman); Top 50 Funniest One-Liners Ever (Daily Mail); Top 10 Funniest Jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe (Dave TV).

He’s even got a few quotes to back up all the hype: “Took the room to a new level with lines that defy you not to laugh” — BBC1 Spotlight and “Punctures an expectation and implies a whole bizarre reality” — The Guardian.

Any top-notch comedian needs top-notch support, and Singaporean comic Jinx Yeo will be jetting in for the second time, this time as MC. Jinx defied every single stereotype about Singaporeans on his last visit and had so many people in stiches, that the organisers just had to have him back. Also bussing it over will be rising star, Phnom Penh-based, US comic Stevo Joslin, a gagster who puts the ‘d’ back into the word dynamic. And from the local scene, winner of this year’s Big V Comedy Competition, Adam Palmeter, will be gracing our presence with 10 minutes of combustible humour.
