Saigon already runs at hyperspeed. From sunup to sundown, ours is a city constantly on the move.
For photographers like Rufus Blackwell, the mastermind behind this Ha Long Bay timelapse and also a visual effects artist and adventure filmmaker, this frenetic pace is a dream. Recently, Blackwell joined forces with camera company DJI – the folks responsible for some pretty sweet Son Doong drone videos – to create a hyperlapse of downtown Saigon. The resulting video manages to capture Saigon's chaos as DJI's handheld camera pans along the length of a bustling Nguyen Hue and races through the streets of Saigon on the back of a motorbike, remaining steady amid the bustle and noise of the city.
