What’s the difference between a melody and a musical motif? How about a trill and an arpeggio? And just how did Beethoven construct a musical masterpiece out of only four notes?
During the Concerto Chat Master Class, internationally renowned concert pianist Jon Kimura Parker (Concerto soloist in Carnegie Hall, Berlin’s Philharmonie, Sydney Opera House and Beijing Concert Hall) and concert violinist Aloysia Friedmann (Founder of Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival, featured performer on Broadway and Madison Square Garden) will demonstrate the secrets of listening to the masterpieces of classical music. Expect short performances of Beethoven, Chopin, Gershwin and more, and be prepared to listen with your heart and mind!
