This month Moreno welcomes Swiss-Vietnamese DJ and producer MAQman for a soulful and groovy night.

El Barrio was born from the encounter of German DJ moreno and Saigon's very own, Swiss-born, DJ Ouch!. Having both lived in Madrid they launched El Barrio as a tribute to the electronic music scene of the Spanish capital.

You can expect a mix of old school house and disco that will progressively evolve to faster 4/4 techno beats as the night goes on.

Moreno (El Barrio, Alba BKK / DE)
Born and raised in Germany, moreno's DJ career started with a residency at Stuttgart's legendary House and Techno club, M1. The next chapter brought performances across Europe, South America, and the US. In 2001 he settled in Madrid, holding residencies at La Musa and Finisterre.

He moved to Bangkok in 2011 where he currently runs a monthly residency at SAFE ROOM. Previously, he established Berlin Beats at GLOW, the infamous Red Zone parties at Studio Lam and Black Pagoda, as well the Disco underground parties with DiscoRobot, in the very early days of Bangkok nightlife.

MAQman (GOGO Music / VN)
Born in Switzerland, MAQman (pronounce mack-man) started music playing the keys with live bands. His production influence derives mainly from black music classics, which MAQman is collecting and playing since 1999. After joint outings on various Soul compilations with down- and mid tempo tracks, he soon focused on House Music and it was inevitable that his musical path had to cross with Germany’s flagship Deep House label GOGO Music in 2011, where he had 4 releases until now. He also signed numerous songs on labels such as Tony Records, Kings Of Groove and Solid Ground Recordings. He relocated to his homeland Vietnam, where he continues to work with well chosen musicians, which help him to ensure that his sound stays organic and rich at any time. Adding on his DJ schedule, MAQman is also a monthly resident on the GOGO Music Radio Show, which is broadcasted by more than 45 FM- and internet-stations around the globe!
